Thank You for 40 Wonderful Years!
Thank you for choosing our clinic. Having celebrated our 40th anniversary last year, we know we’ve been a steady part of many people’s lives, and we value every visit and conversation. Over the past few years, many of you have noticed, and commented on, how energized I’ve been by my growing work in research and teaching. That growth has made the next stage in this journey clear: I will be retiring from private practice and will no longer be providing in‑clinic chiropractic visits after June 30, 2026, to focus on work that can extend the same commitment that we’ve shared more broadly. My focus will be on research aimed at improving care for people living with musculoskeletal conditions, and teaching that helps prepare the next generation of chiropractors to put that research into action.
I want you to know this next step is not a move away from what we built together. It is, in many ways, a continuation of it. Your questions, your goals, your feedback, and your interest in conservative approaches have shaped how I think about musculoskeletal care and what I believe patients deserve from it. What I most hope to carry forward is the standard you helped set here: care that is skilled, respectful, and grounded in a strong human relationship.
My priority is to support a smooth, clear, unhurried transition that respects your needs, your timeline, and your choice of provider, including continuity of care if you want it, and straightforward access to your records. With your care in mind, I have taken careful steps to ensure this transition is thoughtful, well-coordinated, and well supported. Though this notice comes on a shorter timeline than I would ideally have chosen, I wanted to write as soon as I could do so with a clear and well-supported transition in place.
Arrangements have been made with Dr. Erin Mandleman that take effect on July 1st. Dr. Mandleman completed a training placement in our office in 2012 and has maintained close contact with our team ever since, so she may already be a familiar face to many of you! For your convenience, she has two locations, just west or just north of the clinic. If you choose Dr. Mandleman’s clinic, you can contact her at 416‑740‑1060 or [email protected]. She would be happy to continue care for you. You are also of-course welcome to choose any chiropractor or regulated health professional you prefer. You can use the provincial or national directories (at chiropractic.ca, or cco.on.ca) to find a chiropractor near you.
Physiotherapy patients can reach Manuel Lupea for continuity of care and health records at his other clinic locations: Shoreham Chronic Pain, 416 739 7779; or The Polyclinic Rehabilitation Institute, 416 477 1101.
After June 30, patients of Rishma Hirji, RMT will be able to find her at her home practice located near Dovercourt and Dupont. You can schedule appointments by texting 416-937-9187. For your convenience, she offers weekend appointments on both Saturdays and Sundays as well as on weekdays.
My home practice is about a 20-30 minute drive from Downsview Chiropractic. If you decide you would like to find an alternate RMT, the CMTO registry (https://cmto.ca.thentiacloud.net/webs/cmto/register/) is available online.
Patients of Jared Quaglieri, RMT can reach him at 416-720-6038, or [email protected] for continuity of care and health records. If you decide you would like to find an alternate RMT, the CMTO registry (https://cmto.ca.thentiacloud.net/webs/cmto/register/) is available online.
Your personal health information will be handled securely and confidentially to support continuity of care. If you would like a copy of your record or would like it transferred to a provider of your choice, we will assist with that process with your written authorization – please notify us in writing prior to June 30, 2026.
Since 1985 it has been our privilege and our pleasure to care for you, your families, and out collective community. Thank you for your shared trust, and for fourty incredible years of shared memories. I have deep appreciation for your role in inspiring this next chapter.
Sincerely,
Dr. Joel Weisberg
